Illustration Design Brief

Hello everyone,

We are looking for original creative designs for our longboard decks. We're looking for a design that follows an ocean theme. We'd like to see images of the beach/ocean shown within a grid. The grid can have as many or as little segments as you'd like. I'd probably say not too many though so that you can still see the images clearly. I've uploaded an example of something we've done in the past but we want this new design to have a different grid pattern. The grid doesn't have to be symmetrical. It also doesn't need to be as clean cut as the example shown.

Colors: Don't limit your colors to the samples we've shown. Feel free to choose colors that will fit your design.

If you decide to use stock images for your design, please make sure to have the proper licensing. (enhanced license)

If you plan to use photos, please make sure they're the proper size (300 DPI). Our longboards are generally 40"x 10" in size but our template is 43" x 11".

Template: Please use the template that we've attached. The main focus of your artwork should fit within the gray area. Please have your design extend to the edges of the document.

In addition, if we leave positive feedback on your designs please leave your previous submissions as well. Sometimes we'll prefer your original work over the changes we asked you to make.
