Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new and upcoming dance school in the North Alabama area. Our dance school will be a modern, contemporary place that is big on community love...creating an intentional culture based on the ideas of discipline, excellence, and of course fun! Our dance school will offer all generes of dance- ballet, pointe, lyrical/modern/contemporary, hip hop, tap, jazz and acrobatics. We would not like to see designs that use the colors pink or purple. Additionally, we do not want to see designs that incorporate obvious clip art/graphics ie. a ballerina or a tap shoe. We want the design to have a urban, funky feel that does not translate as too overtly masculine.
We're looking for something that is very creative and imaginative! We like the idea of it being unexpected or out of the box.
