We need a logo design for a newly established company based in Vienna and mainly operating in Austria as well as in international contexts. The company is composed of 2 freelancer that have been working already in the field for many years at European level.
We target individuals, teams and organizations/companies finding themselves in transition processes. We plan to work in German/English and if needed in Italian and French.
The "almost-finished" presentation of the company is the following:
We are a versatile and creative company that supports people to learn in and from transition periods.
We do that by offering liminal learning experiences - provocative ideas, inspiring learning designs and spaces for open and meaningful conversations - to people who want to engage in exploring next steps, new ways of seeing and doing things and/or new perspectives.
People hire us because we combine a diversity of approaches, expertise and experiences deriving from the passion for learning and we know a lot about facilitating learning (of groups and individuals) as well as dealing with ambiguity and change.
We support them to become more confident learners ready to engage with the change they are facing and to realize the potential of situations of transition.
Our work is based on the concept of liminality which – coming from anthropology – refers to “in-between states when the person has left his or her old way of doing things but has not yet been fully accepted or integrated into the new way. Mystical traditions from all over the world recognize this as a shaky but potent situation - a time and place when uncertainty and ambiguity reign even as exciting possibilities loom”. Requirements
Must have
- We need 2 versions of the LOGO. One in English "Limina, Learning in transition" and one in German "LIMINA, Lernen I'm Wandel".
LIMINA can either be with capital letters or not.
We have decided for 3 main colors that we would like to use in the website. The colors are in the attachment as reference (the text in the attachment is not relevant). A more intense nuance of the colors is also possible. The logo´s colors should be in line with the 3 colors.
We want the possibility to separate the logo image and the logo text
Nice to have
- We had 2 ideas:
- a text that allows to see images behind like when you cut a piece of paper and see through (seen in http://www.detussentijd.nu/locatie.html)
- a mobile logo that keeps the main feature but it changes as well (seen in http://www.ireneontwerp.nl/identities/Dynamic-Identities-book/)
FONTS - preferred sans-serif, e.g. LATO, BELL GOTHIC Std or similar
We would like something simple and effective, clear as well as irritating at times, raising curiosity, showing different perspectives.
